Edith Falls

South of Darwin, on the way to Katherine - about 3 hour drive from Darwin, or 30 mins north of Katherine. There's a few different trails you can take, we usually hike to upper falls. Only about 30mins uphill, very exhausting in the NT heat, take bulk water.
The current can get pretty strong at the upper falls, so this can make for a fun 'natural water park', lots of little currents you can slip into that carry you to another pool. Under the falls is a small ledge, if you can force yourself against the plummeting water, you can sit/stand on the other side of the water. It's a pretty exhausting challenge - hopefully they'll be some locals there showing you the best technique.

The lower pools, often closed due to crocs
The lower pools are only a 5 minute walk from the car park, much easier if you are just passing by. But these are sometimes closed due to crocs, they are closed all wet season. Still beautiful to see the falls from the bottom. There is a nice kiosk there, good sausage rolls, not sure if this is open in the wet season. The campsite is also at lower pools, its very lush and a huge space.
