Darwin being a tropical climate, only has two season - wet and dry.

| Wet season storms |
Wet season is November to April, the humidity is high and monsoonal rains and storms are frequent. Overnight the temp does not usually drop below 25 degrees celcius, during the day it usually sits at 35, humidity at 80%. I love the dramatic storms that roll in, and the magnificent sunsets, the land becomes lush, green and alive. There is also a chance of a cyclone and plenty more crocs around - exciting! The waterfalls are gushing and very powerful, this along with the sheer amount of crocs means there are less waterways to swim in, they are amazing to see though.
Dry season, May to October- is also high season for tourists ( as the weather is a bit more bare-able ), every day is a beautiful cloudless day! There is zero chance of rain during the middle of the dry season, great if you are planning an outdoor event. Darwin has lots on during the dry - best time to visit the national parks as there are less crocodiles, more swimming! The nights also cool down a lot during the dry. Towards the end of the dry some of the waterholes dry up and the waterfalls stop flowing - make sure you check what is open before you go.
I can't decide which one is my favourite. The wet is a lot quieter in town, a lot of business close down. The storms are very exciting, but the humidity can sometimes be too much. The dry is a perfect summers day- everyday! Great for camping, road-tripping and swimming.
